This policy explains how Vibeark uses cookies and browser storage (local storage and session storage) on https://vibeark.co.in. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What These Technologies Are
- Cookies — small text files stored by your browser.
- Local storage — browser storage that persists until cleared.
- Session storage — browser storage cleared when you close the tab/session.
We and our providers use these to keep the Service working, keep you signed in, and understand usage.
2. What We Use and Why

Vibeark sets no cookies of its own. Everything we store is in your browser's local or session storage, and it is all either strictly necessary or a preference. The main item is your Supabase authentication token, which keeps you signed in. Alongside it we store your profile and settings (
vibeProfile,vibeSparkProfile,vibeAutoUsername), your friends list (vibeFriendsList,sparkFriendsList), unread-message and streak counters (_dmUnread,_vibeStreak,_vibeFirstVisit), and a few small UI flags. We do not use any of it to build an advertising profile of you, and you can clear all of it at any time from your browser settings. Advertising cookies are a separate thing, set by Google rather than by us — section 3 below explains them and how to turn personalised ads off.
3. Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
Vibeark is free to use, and advertising is how we pay for it. We use Google AdSense to show those ads. This means:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads on Vibeark based on your prior visits to Vibeark and to other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Vibeark and/or other sites on the internet.
- These cookies may also be used to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure whether ads work, and to detect invalid or fraudulent ad traffic.
We do not give Google, or any advertiser, your chat messages, your Vibeark account details, your email address or your date of birth. Advertising cookies are set by Google in your browser; they are not fed from our database.
How to turn personalised ads off
- Google Ads Settings — you may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (also available as My Ad Center).
- Industry opt-outs — you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Browser controls — you can block or delete advertising cookies in your browser settings.
Turning personalised ads off does not remove ads from Vibeark; you will simply see less relevant ones.
Google's own handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
4. Other Third-Party Providers
Some storage is set by our service providers to deliver the Service, including:
- Supabase (authentication/session);
- Render (hosting), and Cloudflare (Turnstile bot check on sign-in — this is a security check, not tracking);
- Google (advertising, as described in section 3).
Vibeark does not currently use third-party analytics providers.
Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and our Privacy Policy.
5. Your Choices
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies and clear local/session storage in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage will break sign-in and core features.
- Personalised ads. See the opt-out links in section 3.
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland). If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are used, through a Google-certified consent message shown when you first visit. You can change your choice at any time from the "Privacy settings" / "Manage options" link in that message.
- Consent (India and elsewhere). Outside the regions above, only strictly necessary and preference storage is used without a prompt; advertising cookies are governed by the choices in section 3.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as our use of these technologies changes. The "Effective date" shows the latest version.
