Terms of Use

Welcome to Vibeark — India's anonymous stranger chat platform. By accessing or using Vibeark, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Vibeark.
• By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
• Vibeark is intended for users in India and globally where permitted by local law.

2. User Accounts

• Each user may maintain only one account. Multiple accounts are not allowed.
• Your username must be unique — like Instagram, no two users can have the same handle.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• Do not share your account with others or allow others to access it.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree that while using Vibeark you will NOT:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other users in any form.
• Share or request explicit, pornographic, violent, or illegal content.
• Impersonate any real person, brand, or public figure.
• Spam, send promotional messages, or advertise products/services.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt Vibeark's infrastructure.
• Share personal information of other users without their consent.
• Use Vibeark for any illegal purpose under Indian law or international law.

4. Real Users & Bots

• Vibeark connects you with real strangers when available online.
• When no real user is available, you may be connected to an AI-powered chat companion (bot) to ensure a seamless experience.
• Bots are clearly simulated — Vibeark does not claim they are real humans.
• Real user connections only happen when both parties are actively online and searching.

5. Anonymous Chatting

• Vibeark is designed to protect your anonymity. Your real name and email are never shared with other users.
• Only your chosen username and display name are visible in chats.
• You are solely responsible for what personal information you choose to share during a chat.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of any content you create. By using Vibeark, you grant us a license to display and transmit it as necessary for the service.
• Vibeark's logo, name, design, and code are the property of Vibeark. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

7. Moderation & Bans

• Vibeark reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any user who violates these terms.
• You can report any user using the 🚩 flag button during a chat.
• Reports are reviewed and action is taken within 24 hours for serious violations.
• Vibeark is not obligated to provide a reason for account termination in cases of clear policy violation.

8. Disclaimer

• Vibeark is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not responsible for any harm caused by interactions between users.
• Vibeark does not guarantee continuous, error-free service.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Vibeark after changes means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.

Privacy Policy

At Vibeark, your privacy is our priority. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

1. What We Collect

• Account Information: Your email address when you sign up. We use one-time email codes — there is no password.
• Profile Data: Display name, username, avatar emoji, bio, gender, date of birth (optional — never shown to other users), and any optional profile fields you choose to fill.
• Chat Messages: Messages are stored temporarily in our database to deliver them in real time. We do not read or analyze your personal conversations.
• Device & Usage Data: Our server logs record basic technical details (browser/device type, IP address, timestamps) for security and reliability. We use no third-party analytics. Ads on Vibeark are served by Google AdSense — see section 8 below.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your phone number.
• We do not access your camera, microphone, or contacts (unless you grant permission for future video features).
• We do not track your location beyond the city you optionally add to your profile.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To match you with other users or AI companions for chat.
• To display your profile and username in chats.
• To improve app performance and fix bugs.
• To take action on reports of policy violations.

4. Data Sharing

• We never sell your personal data to third parties.
• We never use your chat content for advertising.
• We use Supabase (a secure database service) to store your account and message data. Supabase is GDPR-compliant.
• We may share data only if required by law or court order.

5. Data Retention

• Chat messages are retained for a limited period and then automatically deleted.
• Profile data is retained until you delete your account.
• Queue/matching data is deleted immediately after a session ends or the user disconnects.

6. Security

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
• We never ask for or store a password — sign-in uses one-time email codes via Supabase Auth.
• We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

• You can edit or update your profile at any time from the app.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us.
• You can opt out of non-essential data collection by not using optional profile features.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

Vibeark sets no cookies of its own. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to save preferences (theme, profile, friends list) so you don't have to re-enter them. We use no analytics cookies.

Vibeark is free because it is funded by ads, served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Vibeark and other sites, and Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) lets it and its partners serve those ads. We never give advertisers your messages, email, date of birth or profile. You can turn personalised ads off at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices. 9. Children's Privacy

Vibeark is strictly for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a minor has created an account, it will be deleted immediately.
